Starting from consumption reporting, F.lli Campagnolo has been measuring its carbon footprint since 2021, in terms of both direct emissions (Scope 1) and indirect emissions (Scope 2 and 3).
SCOPE 1
This refers to direct greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from installations within the reporting boundary, such as consumption of natural gas and fuel consumption.
SCOPE 2
This refers to indirect greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) from the company's consumption of grid-supplied electricity.
SCOPE 3
This refers to indirect emissions related to activities both upstream and downstream of the company’s operations. This category includes transportation associated with the procurement of raw and auxiliary materials, product distribution, employee commuting, waste transfer to the designated disposal center, and the use of products, such as raw materials and other materials required to produce the finished product.
